I have been waiting for a bike since last summer, for about 8 to 9 months now. On the week that I'm getting it, it's rainy, freezing cold, and overcast... and people wonder why I'm a pessimist.
Hmm...well, unfortunately the things we want we don't always get.
I believe it was a famous philosopher who once said: "You can't always get what you want but if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need..."
Or maybe it was the Rolling Stones...
On a serious note though... I think its easy to give up because giving up is easy. Its much harder to work on the things you need to change and let God slowly make you a better person.
Sure, it would be easy to just get into a car accident one day and everyone mourn you but God is glorified through the change of our hearts. You, bit by bit, becoming a better person is something that God wants but is the hard thing to do so its much easier to just give up.
So yeah...SURPRISE! You probably have another 50-60 years on this earth.
And I say all this because I struggle with it as well.
I agree. But no matter how hard you try, I still believe you are the same person down to the very core. Again, maybe it's my pessimism... but I feel that it's impossible to fully change.
Just stop for one minutes and look around you, at the world and the people in it. If you have an average intelligence, then you'll understand where this blog is coming from.
